PRP HAIR RESTORATION

What is PRP Hair Restoration?

This is a three step medical process whereby blood is drawn, processed to isolate the platelet rich plasma and then deposited into the scalp to stimulate and strengthen weak or inactive hair follicles. Platelets are what your body uses naturally to repair injuries. When these platelets are separated it creates what is referred to as “liquid gold” because of the growth factors contained within. When delivered to the scalp with our MdPen Microneedling system, this plasma triggers inactive stem cells resulting in the growth of brand new hair or thickening of thin hair.

Who is a good candidate for PRP Hair Restoration?

Both men and women can benefit from the intense healing properties of platelet rich plasma. If you’re someone who has thin hair, receding hair, a widening part or bald patches PRP is an effective way to fill in and strengthen your hair’s weak spots. PRP can even be used as a means of protecting the growth surrounding a hair transplant.

What should I expect during my PRP Hair Restoration treatment?

A numbing agent will be applied to the treatment area. During this time, a small amount of blood will be drawn and placed in a centrifuge where the platelets are separated from the red and white blood cells. Your technician will then create thousands of micro channels in the treatment site using our MdPen Microneedling system and deposit the plasma deep into the scalp where it can successfully stimulate stem cells to regrow hair or strengthen and thicken the growth you already have. This process is typically repeated once a month for up to six months and then every two years to maintain healthy hair. All of our PRP Hair Restoration Packages come with a three month supply of Nutrafol, an all natural growth supplement for enhanced thickness and quicker growth.
