PRP MICRONEEDLING FACIAL

What is a PRP Microneedling Facial?

Commonly known as a Vampire Facial, PRP Microneedling is so effective when it comes to building collagen that it can be used as a natural alternative to fillers and has even been said to mimic the effects of a facelift. PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. Platelets carry growth factors. These are the healing properties that our bodies use to repair wounds. During your PRP facial, your esthetician will draw a small amount of blood, place it in a centrifuge where the white and red blood cells are separated from the platelet gel and then distribute the gel into the micro channels created by the needling. This triggers collagen production as well as an intense healing process resulting in firm, healthy, glowing skin free from blemishes! PRP Miccrneedling can help to correct a number of issues such as fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, hormonal darkening, acne, acne scarring, pore size and rosacea. After your treatment, your skin will be soft, bright and supple and makeup will go on soother then ever!

What is the downtime associated with a PRP Microneedling Facial?

Some slight swelling may occur and redness from 1-3 days after your service is common. As the platelet gel dries in your skin, a tightening effect takes place. We recommend that you moisturize often following your service and avoid makeup application for at least 24 hours. Direct sun exposure is also discouraged. Some clients may experience a flakey peeling a few days post therapy or a dryness of the skin. A week to two weeks after your session is when you can expect to feel the benefits of your PRP facial. Because your skin will continue to build collagen, results improve over time and can last up to a few months. As with all skincare, the cumulative results of a series will be more dramatic than a single session. Following a series of PRP sessions, results can last up to two years.
